Date: February 2025
Job title: Senior Insight Strategist
Reporting to: Head of Strategy
Hours / Type of contract: Permanent contract, 4 days per week.
Location: London or Amsterdam
Salary Banding: €51,000–€70,000 gross per year, based on a full-time (5-day) salary. Actual salary will be pro-rated for a 4-day workweek.
Starting date: March 3rd 2025 (or sooner!)
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
You will help lead Protein’s insight & strategy projects, driving and delivering strategic insights across the Protein client portfolio.
You will turn research into clear strategic recommendations, and make sure projects are executed with confidence and to the high standards Protein is known for.
As a senior insight strategist you’re expected to have a solid grasp of the landscape we operate in; both for our agency and for our clients. This will come from your agency experience (circa 8 years) but also through a more general cultural fit (being aligned with our values and passionate about the work we do).
We’re looking for someone who can work four days a week and start in the week commencing March 3rd (or sooner!).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will help lead the day-to-day management of client projects. Some days you'll be overseeing projects and guiding the team, while other times you'll be hands-on driving insight and strategy work yourself. You’ll be working closely with globally recognised brands and contributing to impactful, high-profile projects.
- Client partnership: Help build and maintain a strong relationship with our clients, while collaborating with (and sometimes managing) researchers, strategists and creatives towards final delivery.
- Strategic thinking: use your expertise in both insights and strategy to turn complex research into clear recommendations. Your confidence in presenting and owning strategies will directly shape the success of client projects.
- Project management: be responsible for driving the project forward from start to finish. Work both independently and alongside core Protein team members to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget, and meets all client expectations.
- Client communication: establish and maintain strong communication between Protein, the client, and external partners. Ensure project goals (and any KPIs) are communicated effectively within the team.
- Optimisation: after the completion of projects, set up post-project analysis sessions with the team and Protein’s head of growth; to extract learnings, optimise workflow, and identify areas to continue working with the client.
- Team leadership: mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in insight and strategy, who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and is eager to drive positive change.
Some specifics below:
- Proven insight experience, across trends and cultural insight, and in more progressive qualitative research methodologies.
- Proven strategy experience, with the ability to turn research into actionable recommendations for clients.
- Strong experience in a client-facing role in an agency environment, where you’ve successfully managed client relationships and ensured projects run smoothly.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to independently drive projects forward and keep teams on track.
- A confident communicator, with the ability to present to clients and internal teams clearly and persuasively.
- Experience in coordinating teams as well as working with external partners (recruiters, freelancers, videographers, etc).
- Passionate about making an impact and working on projects that contribute to positive change.
